Marvel boss Kevin Feige has confirmed that Guardians of the Galaxy 3 is still happening, despite the delay.

The film’s progress was upended when writer and director James Gunn was fired by Disney following the re-emergence of old inappropriate tweets posted to his Twitter account.

Dave Bautista, who plays Drax in the series, has even threatened to follow Gunn out of the door if his Guardians of the Galaxy 3 script wasn’t used.

However, speaking at the Golden Globes, Feige assured fans the third movie is still coming. This comes after his news back in October that the film was “on hold”

Karen Gillan, who plays Nebula, previously told the Shoot This Now podcast that she’s “sure” the series will continue.

A new director and/or script is yet to be attached to the project, but it’s well known that the cast are still unhappy with Gunn’s removal from the project.
